In Alvis’s 2021 pursuit to be re-accredited by CARF, a worldwide independent, nonprofit organization focused on advancing the quality of health services, our platform, Presto PDCA Quality Assurance was used to support the extensive list of quality checks necessary for the accreditation.
A team of 3 quality assurance specialists from Alvis’s Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) team partnered with the external team from CARF together with the business leads of Alvis’s Behavioral Health Department to implement CARF’s end-to-end quality management program.
Support the CARF re-accreditation process by using Presto PDCA Quality Assurance software to identify and track all non-conformance situations ensuring appropriate corrective actions are successfully implemented in impacted areas of the Alvis Behavioral Health Department

The CARF International group of companies currently accredits more than 60,000 programs and services at over 28,000 locations
More than 15.3 million persons of all ages are served annually by 8,000-plus CARF-accredited service providers. CARF accreditation extends to countries in North and South America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania.
The original CARF audit reported on 400+ pages was grouped into 25 macro audit categories
Considering the checklists, observations captured and non conformance projects managed, Presto PDCA allowed for all of this to be completed in one easy-to-access place
CARF accreditation is no joke! In Presto PDCA all 1,200+ quality checkpoints were included in the 158 micro categories
The team scored well identifying only 11 areas that required corrective activities from non conformances
2 team members and a backup from the Alvis Continuous Quality Improvement team was all that was needed to ensure all core information was captured and reported correctly
Training in Presto PDCA included a weekly 30-minute session with the 3 key users. In total, 3 hours is all that was needed to see the team completely independent
